Our approach

For this opening, KMSKA relied on Blue Moon as its technical partner for the coordination and execution of all audiovisual facilities. The production spanned multiple event areas, each with its own technical requirements and challenges.

On the museum square, we delivered a powerful audio setup to support the arrival of guests and the various program moments. Inside the museum, both the Keyser Hall and the temporary event tent were equipped with customized lighting and sound systems, carefully tailored to the atmosphere and purpose of each space.

In addition, we provided the technical support for the choir, the official speeches and the DJ set later in the evening. By connecting all event locations through an integrated audio network, we created smooth transitions between the different program elements. This ensured a consistent, high-quality experience throughout the event.

It's all about the (project) details

The technical set-up spanned several locations both inside and outside the museum. On the square in front of the KMSKA, we installed a professional line-array sound system to ensure clear and even sound coverage for the official speeches, the choir performances and the DJ set.

A dedicated sound system was provided for both the choir and the speakers, ensuring excellent speech intelligibility and musical clarity. At the same time, the museum façade was illuminated by a carefully designed lighting installation that highlighted the building’s architectural character and welcomed visitors from afar.

Synchronisation as an eye-catcher

A key aspect of the project was the integration of the various zones. Thanks to audio links between the different venues, the program elements ran in sync and the technical quality remained consistent throughout. Thanks to this integrated approach, the entire event formed a single, cohesive experience, despite being spread across multiple venues.

With this production, Blue Moon once again delivered a comprehensive audiovisual solution, in which technology not only provides support but also actively contributes to the impact and experience of an event, thereby strengthening the message. We are proud to have been able to contribute to a memorable cultural evening to mark the opening of Antony Gormley’s ‘Geestgrond’ at the KMSKA.
